com.windowtester.runtime depends on usage profiler?

Postby ajbetz » Tue Feb 01, 2011 2:48 pm

Why does the com.windowtester.runtime plug-in also have a dependency on com.instantiations.eclipse.usageprofiler? I am trying to install the WTP execution plug-ins (as provisioned by the platform provisioner tool in my IDE) into a deployed RCP application and using my test runner to invoke the tests, but my test plug-in has not been resolved. The deployed RCP app does not thave the org.eclipse.core.resources plug-in that the usage profiler requires, so I will also need to follow that dependency tree and install all of those plug-ins as well.

If I do not plan on reporting the usage statistics on my test execution, I should be able to install the runtime plug-ins without it having a hard dependency on the usage profiler.

Which version of WindowTester do you have installed? Do upgrade to the latest beta at

http://code.google.com/javadevtools/dow ... -beta.html

and see whether this solves the problem.
