The Nullpointer dialogs are displayed during record of the test but when the test is run the exception is not displayed on the GUI but is displayed only in the eclipse console so I can't check for it. Any ideas on why this is? I need to do negative testing where I need to verify the NPE dialog is thrown.

It looks like WindowTester catches the exception and logs it, which is probably why the NPE dialog does not get thrown. We are looking to see if there is a graceful solution to this issue.
