WindowTester allows you to easily create and run unit tests for every GUI they build. It can also be used to generate system level tests.

As far as I can find, there's no NamedWidgetLocator constructor that takes a parent locator (in this case I would like a SectionLocator).
Is there a workaround for this, other than having more specific names for widgets?
ui.findAll and checking all results is all I can think of.

More specific names is the way to go. The point in naming a widget would be to find it easily, and without having to specify hierarchy/position. Having a unique name makes for the easiest case.
