Enter text that contains dot

During the playback, text that contains dot (for e.g.: .com) will have the dot(.) duplicated. In this example, ".com" will become "......com". I am using v3.9.0 on Ubuntu 9.04. I need help with this issue. Please advise.

That bug *should* be fixed in a later release. The best bet would be to download 4.0 or 5.0.1 and try this again.
