Expression View Testing (Either Detail Pane is veritcal or

I have been writing an automatic test case for expression view in which I have to verify that detail pane view is either horizontal or vertical. But I have no idea how to implement it automatically. Any help regarding this??? I am using Junit.

Could you send the ID of the view you are trying to test (or the class name)? Are you trying to test the standard eclipse debug expression view (org.eclipse.debug.internal.ui.views.expression.ExpressionView) or some derivative?
