Testing Decorators in RCP

Postby alagw » Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:11 am

I add ControlDecoration (org.eclipse.jface.fieldassist.ControlDecoration) to my controls for displaying validation results.

Can I test with WindowTester, if the Decorators are displayed correctly, when a validation error appears?

Best regards

Hi André,

We have support for asserting message contents in the context of dialogs and wizards:

http://downloads.instantiations.com/Win ... cator.html

But we do not have generalized ControlDecorator support. If you point us to (or put together) a simple SWT snippet demonstrating what you are working with (and tell us just what you want to verify), we'll be happy to investigate implementing this feature.

Thanks for the inquiry!
