Our Mac support is somewhat in limbo. A first cut is implemented (and in the current betas), but it needs a bit of cleaning up. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to commit the resources needed to fully support the Mac because the demand just hasn't been there (the user base is (sadly) so small...) But hopefully that's changing! ;) Are you a Mac shop? How many of your developers are Mac users?

We try to make our SDK work as best as possible on all platforms. Our QA team tests on all three platforms. From users that we have right now, quite a few use Macs, and the way things are going (MacBook Air) there will be quite a few in the future.

Thanks for the follow up.

It would be really useful if you sent a formal feature request with this info to:

wintest-support@instantiations.com

That way we can log your interest and you can track our progress.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am currently evaluating WindowBuilder Pro on my Mac with Eclipse 3.3.

The reason I started this evaluation is the SWT Designer.

Although I love the 2-way editing and 'reverse engineering' I am not really impressed with the performance (speed wise) and redraw issues it sometimes gives.

For Swing I currently use another editor but, for that same 2-way editing and 'reverse engineering' I would love to buy WindowBuilder Pro but for the Swing Editor performance and (re-)drawing issues are even worse.

Are there tips to get a better 'feeling'?

Is this a Mac related thing?

Thanks,

Marcel

Hey.

You should really post this to the SWTDesigner forum:

http://www.instantiations.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

(This one is for WindowTester.) I'm sure the experts over there will be happy to help!
