Can the recorder be told which recognition mechanism to use?

Postby brs » Mon Mar 19, 2007 10:00 am

Hi.

As explained in the documentation, Window Tester allows a few different strategies for widget recognition. Is it possible to identify our preferred one for the recorder to use or do we have to modify each and every recorded test class by hand to switch to our preferred type of locator?

TIA,
B.

At the moment, there is no way to specify locator inference strategies in the recorder but we've discussed it. If you'd like to track this feature, please send a feature request to wintest-support@instantiations.com.

Thanks!

Could you elaborate, maybe with an example of a test that is generated and what you would like changed.
