Make display/preview multi-display aware

another request:
the preview function: "quickly test/preview the window without compiling or running it"
is not multi-display aware; 2 quick fixes:
a) make multi-display aware;
or
b) just make it remember last position, if user adjusted it;
thank you!

Can you clarify what this means?

Konstantin:

thanks for looking into this;

clarification:

say I have 2 displays 1000x2000 each, with total virtual desktop size 1000x4000;

WB opens preview window in the middle of the virtual desktop size 1000x4000; see screen shot why this makes no sense;
at least it should be inside one of 1000x2000 displays, right?

"a) make multi-display aware;" means
try to detect main display / window used by eclipse and center WB preview inside there;
if users drags it - save the position and use for next run;

"b) just make it remember last position, if user adjusted it;" means
forget about main display/window detection; just show the way you show it right now (people can tolerate it once)
and let people drag it to were they like it; then save it automatically;

Cheers;

Andrei

Now we will center preview window inside of monitor with main Eclipse Shell.

Konstantin:

thanks for fixing that; I do not see this change
in your "beta" integration site; I guess not there yet?

1) just got new beta; the bug is still there;

2) is there a way to subscribe to your beta "news feed" or mail list?
so you do not have to track this manually?

3) can you please make your version copy/past-able (in preferences),
or else I need to take a screen shot each time to confirm a version to you:
