Does Swing Designer support JFileChooser?
I haven't seen it in the Swing Controls tool bar.

Yes.

I haven't seen it in the Swing Controls tool bar.

JFileChooser is primarily intended to be opened as a stand alone dialog.

If you want to use it as an actual widget, select it using Choose Component.

You can also add it to the palette using the Palette Manager.
