Is this working for a tree viewer too?

I'd like to build a rcp standalone application in which i could create project, folder and import files from the system in the different project and folder. The code from the book is very interesting caus it shows how to work with IResouce.
I started my project using a model that extends java.io.File but i have problems now for renaming, cutting and so... It seems to be easier and more appropriate using IResource, IProject, IFolder and IFile. But i don't really know how to use these so i'd like to any suggestions from you.
