RCP and Data Access Patter

Postby alphacoward » Wed Oct 06, 2004 8:39 pm

Hi,

I have the task of creating an entire User Applicaiton (for scheduling maintanenance of equipment in various manufacturing industries) using RCP and Eclipse 3.0.

I've managed to create a few plugins that seem to prove that eclipse is quite usefull. My next task is to hook up the GUI with Java Beans in a Business Object layer such as Spring or Hivemind.

What is the general concept for how an RCP application should access business objects? I couldn't find much discussion about RCP in your book.

Cheers

Discussing RCP would require a whole new book (an, in fact, AW is working one for the Eclipse series). There are a number of RCP articles that you should read to get started.

For RCP-related questions, I would suggest positing them in the Eclipse RCP newsgroup.
