How we can provide authentication, while updating plugins fr

Postby adesh.khare » Wed Aug 05, 2009 8:11 pm

I have implemented Update Plugin Functionality for my RCP based application, which has multiple plugins in it. I have follow the steps that are mention in

http://www.eclipsecon.org/2005/prese..._Tutorial8.pdf

I have created update-site (has features, plugins as jars) and install at server side.

Now I want to provide an authentication when we update plugins from server. I want the user should be prompted for an authentication before update starts. User should provide a key, which will be matched at site and there after my updates starts.

I have already looked at following classes, UpdateUI, UpdateManagerAuthenticator, PasswordAuthentication. but I am unable to find any sample code or tutorial for it.
