Any plans for 3.5 ?

Postby shauvik » Sun Jul 19, 2009 2:57 am

Hi,

Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo) is out. Do the authors plan to update the book with changes in Galileo?
If yes, when is the new edition planned to be released.

Thanks,
Shauvik

We are on a two-year update cycle so our next major update will be for Eclipse 3.6 and/or 4.0.

That said the differences between Eclipse 3.4 and 3.5 with respect to this book are extremely minimal (especially given that the 3rd edition was actually completed about half way through the Eclipse 3.5 development cycle).

In fact, the downloadable book sample code available form the book web site has been fully updated for Eclipse 3.5.

Has anyone asked how to execute the instructions in section 2.6.1 and 2.6.2 for 3.5? The GUIs are different, and I am too new to know what should be done. Can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
