Hello,
by time to time I get a question to the VA Smalltalk 64bit virtual machine. The only answer I have is, VA Smalltalk 64bit will come in the future. So far so good. One of our biggest costumer used DB2 9.7 on AIX 6.1. The problem is, the 32bit client will not work under AIX 6.1, consequently we cant connect to the database, if our program run on AIX 6.1. The simply question is, can anybody give me an authentic information when the 64bit virtual machine will come?

VA Smalltalk should work just fine on AIX 6.1 with DB/2. I suggest you open a case by sending mail to vast-support@instantiations.com so we can gather pertinent details and figure out how to solve your problem.
