VA Image throws error on opening

I installed VAST 8.0.1 on my Windows 7 and whenever I try running the development image it says
Exit due to error: 33 - Could not open image file
Does VAST 8.0.1 run on Windows 7? if not which version should i use then?

Yes, VA Smalltalk V8.0.1 runs quite fine on Windows 7. The error you are seeing has nothing to do with the version of Windows you are using. Rather, it means that either the image file (abt.icx), the startup parameters file (abt.ini), or the image components files (???.ic) could not be found.

So, to start with, are you running VA Smalltalk using the shortcut created during install or some other way? If you are using the shortcut, please edit its properties by adding -l (dash lowercase L) to the end of the Target: field and start VA Smalltalk again. This will create a file named ESVMLOG in the image directory which may contain more detailed information about the startup problem. If you are starting the program some other way, try using the shortcut and see if this is successful.

But something else is bothering now, wen I try to load the trailbrazer from Tools >> Load Unload Features I get the following error:

can you please help me on this. I tried copying a new image and reload the trailbrazer but i get the same error everytime. Not to mention that after this if I want to see the code I have to reconnect to the server. I'm using a standalone setup (mgr.dat).

So lets go step by step:

1) Are you running more than one image at the same time?

2) What other features did you load before Trailblazer?

3) Can you load the ENVY/Manager Library Utilities map? If so, please run EmLibraryStatistics checkConsistencyOf: EmLibrary default and post the result if they show anything but everything is OK.
