Is there any efficient compression library that can be invoked from VA.

I've thought about this several times over the years, but always decided simply to invoke zip.exe from VAST when I need compression.

The only wrapper I've written so far is included in my MSKFreeImageWrapper - five low-levels methods to calculate crc32, zip, unzip, compress and uncompress - using zlib library - available from vastgoodies.com.

But yes, it is time to have a native wrapper around compresseion ....
