Can we start Seaside or SST on a given address?

Postby PhotonDemon » Mon Jun 15, 2009 12:13 pm

Hi All,

Normally one starts an SST adaptor for Seaside like so:

Code: Select all
(WASstServerAdaptor port: port) start.

We can specify the port but not an IP address. This is fine until it must run on a server with more than one NIC card. Unless I'm mistaken, it would be nice to be able to start the adaptor on an address and port. Is there some way to do this?

Lou -

Currently starting on a given address is not supported, so I will add this to the enhancement list. Meanwhile, you might subclass WASstServerAdaptor with a class having an enhanced implementation of WASstServerAdaptor>>#createService and whatever other methods you need to feed the desired location into this enhanced method.
