Copy #WATextInputTag>>size: to #WAFileUploadTag

Postby PhotonDemon » Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:10 am

Hi,

I respectfully suggest that #WATextInputTag>>size:

size: aNumber
"This attribute tells the user agent the initial width of the widget. The width is given in number of characters."
self attributes
at: 'size'
put: aNumber

be copied to #WAFileUploadTag.

I have extended #WAFileUploadTag to include the #size: method. I think it would be nice if it were added to all Seaside platforms.

Lou,

I think http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/seaside or http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/seaside-dev are more appropriate places for these kind of requests. We can't have the VA version divert from the reference implementation IMO.

Cheers,
Adriaan.

Louis -

Adriaan is exactly right -- if the code is in one of the Seaside... apps, then you need to address the request to the Seaside development group because everything in those apps is ported directly from the Squeak Seaside 2.9 development stream; if the code is in one of the SeasideVAST... apps, then it is our code and we can do something about it.

Or even better yet, become a contributor to Seaside -- see http://www.seaside.st for how to do this -- and add the code yourself into the Seaside 2.9 development stream (isn't OpenSource development wonderful?).

Thank you for your replies. I had already made the same suggestion to one of the many Seaside lists. I will try to make it to one of the suggested dev lists.
