User Acceptance Testing Framework

Postby Steffen » Tue Oct 14, 2008 1:36 am

I am looking for a good way to create User Acceptanz Tests.
Is there any support for User Acceptance Testing Framework, something like FIT or FitNess (http://fitnesse.org/FitNesse.FitFramework)
because I found some information about a port to VW (http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/userblogs/randy/blogView) but not for VA.
Anybody can help?

Best wishes, Steffen

You might take a look at Silvermark's Test Mentor. It has very good test suite development tools including GUI record and playback, and a complete set of metrics.

I've read very good remarks about it - but paying additional $3500 for a product ...

Hallo,

you are absolutly right Marten! My projectmanager (Java-Fan) loves to hear from 'free tools'. We are fighting for an update to release 7.5. next time. What do you think about my chances to order the testmentor too?
There is jet an other issue. Possible we have to do a port to Java next 3 years. I have to build a compatible testsuite, that is executable on all plattforms. Any ideas?

Best wishes, Steffen

Steffen,

maybe you should have a look at the possibilities of porting Fitnesse to VAST.
Fitnesse as a Wiki will always have a very similar feel for users, no matter what's on the other side of the wiki (Smalltalk, Java, Ruby or whatever).

just a cent or two
