VA 7.5.2 under Ubuntu 8.04-amd64

Just to inform all users, that (to my surprise) VA 7.5.2 can be installed (with the usual problems)
under Ubuntu 8.0.4-amd64.

How does a 32-bit application like VA7.5.2 run under 64bit-Linux ? I thought, that this is not
possible, because the 64bit kernel would not be able to start 32-bit Linux apps ????

Marten -

Not true -- I have been running VA Smalltalk 7.5.2 on Ulbuntu 7.04 (64-bit) for many months. There was a description of what was needed on the Ubuntu website (or on a link from there?) -- you need to install the lib32 package and then all is well.
