install help ubuntu 6.10

i know ubuntu is not suported, but can someone tell me why vast7.5 won't install on ubuntu 6.10 (x386)? the process starts ok, but then i get the message:

This issue is also covered in the product readme file.

Ubuntu should install fine, if you follow those instructions.
