I tried to create a ready-to run version of VA 7.01 under Ubunto under VMWare. All stuff is working - exept VASmalltalk. No keyboard input is recognized by VASmalltalk. VASmalltalk itselfs runs without problems - but the whole keyboard functionality is not working.
In the terminal window I can see lots of translate errors ....

I should have read the Fedora 6 posting - create the missing links as posted for Fedora 6 and all errors are gone in Ubuntu 6.10, too
