Are we going to get GWT support for WTP sometime soon?

I'm not sure what you mean.

If you are asking about what the WTP projects plans to do in the GWT space, I have no idea. You would need to ask on the Eclipse WTP forum.

If you are asking about GWT Designer and WTP, I am not sure what you are looking for. GWT Designer does not require WTP, but nothing would prevent your from using GWT Designer in the same Eclipse environment as WTP.

Are we going to get GWT support for WTP sometime soon?

We have situations where we need to use GWT withing an existing web application which has a standard strutcture like

Src

WebContent
WEB-INF
web.xml

So in such a structure will I be able to create the GWT remote services in such a way that web.xml gets updated as and when I create a new servlet.

We will consider adding that in the future.

Note that GWT Designer does include a Deploy Module function that will generate a web.xml file for you.
