GWT_HOME variable

Postby kct3937 » Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:41 am

I am once again, coding Java and using your product…this time the GWT Toolkit with Eclipse.
I got tired of the hassle with Windoze and got a Mac a few years back.

The programming is fine, but I want to follow the tutorials for developing GUI's and am getting stuck on the location of the GWT_HOME variable.
All references I can find relate to a windoze install and mine is the latest OS X version which does not tell me where it installed it…I assume in the plugins directory.

Can you help me with this?
Am I using the right plugin?

Glad to see my previous choice for building GUI's is still around.

If you have installed GWT as part of the normal GPE (Google Plugin for Eclipse) install, you don't need to do anything.

GWT Designer will just use the internal GWT path set by the GPE itself.

You can also just use the GPE "Google > Web Application Project" wizard.
