Cannot create factory from SmartGWT forms widgets

Hi,

I'm using Mac OSX 10.6.4 running a fresh install of Eclipse 3.6 with GWT Designer on it. I've been trying to start and create some factories using SmartGWT forms widgets such as SelectItem, textItem etc. When I right click on them I do not get the menu option for Factory in order to be able to create a factory, if I select the DynamicForm and right click on that then I can get the Factory menu option to appear but never for things like SelectItem or TextItem.

I have created another project using GXT and creating a similar test with a dialog and a form and then adding widgets to the form then I can right click on any object and I get the factory menu option, it's only when using the SmartGWT based objects that it will not display the Factory menu options.

Help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for not replying sooner, I thought I'd just try and scour the internet first before asking this second question. It's great news that this problem is fixed and will be released in the next update but when is the next update likely to happen? Is there a rough schedule for how often we are likely to see updates being made available for the product?

Thanks anyway for the fast response to the original problem I submitted I can't wait to get the update so I can start creating factories with SmartGWT form objects.

No. That has not been determined yet. I would say that it will be at least as often as GWT itself gets updated.

Sorry I have been off long term sick since the beginning of October, so I have only just seen your post. I will be trying this out in the coming week and I shall let you know if I have any problems. Due to the length of time then I don't anticipate any problems and I expect it will be absolutely what I need.
