Install GWT Designer from zip files.

I cannot download GWT Designer through a firewall. Do you have a procedure to install from zip files? Ifollowed this procedure for Google Plugin for Eclipse successfully.http://code.google.com/eclipse/docs/install-from-zip.html

Thanks Eric for the quick reply.

I used Eclipse Update Manager for several years. When I migrated to Eclipse 3.5, Update Manager stopped working. I was so anxious to get GWT Designer that I downloaded Eclipse 3.6. This fixed my problem. So I don't need the work around.

I hope this helps out anyone else in a similar situation.

It would be nice if it was listed on the Downloads page so that folks in isolated networks can download the plug-in without having to hunt down the links.

Also please suggest how to install the GWT Development plugin (IE and firefox) on a machine that is not connected to the internet?
When I try to execute the GwtDevPluginSetup.exe it tries to connect to the internet, which obviously is not possible and it fails the installation.
Similarly how do I insall the plugin in FireFox? I do have the plugin files with me gwt-dev-plugin.dmg, gwt-dev-plugin.crx and gwt-dev-plugin.xpi.
I know these are for FireFox, Chrome and Safari but how to install them.

You can't (unless you see the pattern in those links which will likely remain the same).

At some point, those links may be posted to the GWT Designer download page, but for now, Google wants to encourage folks to stay connected to the Internet and install the products from the update sites directly.
