Good Day All:
I am looking to get the GWT Designer working with GWT 2.1.0 (M1). Are there upgrade instructions or am I too early?

Too early.
GWT Designer only supports released versions of GWT, so GWT 2.0.3 is the latest version we currently support. GWT 2.1 will be supported once it is officially released.
