Doubt about GWT Designer and Eclipse

Postby Alvarodt » Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:36 am

Hello everyone, I am sorry if my english is not good enough I am from Spain :)

I installed the plugin for the eclipse enviroment but when I clicked on the design tab I chose "Free windows build" or something like that but I am getting the message "14 days remaining". The other problem is on the design section, on the right, I can not see the widgets, I can only see them at the Components section.

You can see a screenshot here: http://i44.tinypic.com/vhytz.png

Is something wrong?

Thank you in advance.

It looks like something is wrong. Please provide a test case and your complete Eclipse ".log" file.

If you are having a problem, that means that you must already have a test case.

Please send that to us along with your complete Eclipse ".log" file.

I can not find the log file. If "test case" means my project, I only created a new gtw java project, I did not write anything.

Another clue, when I select a widget and I drag it to the right area I get a forbidden icon.

Edit.

Well, I think this could give you an idea about my problem, I think it would be an stupid one.

Here you can see what kind of things I can choose in my "design view":
http://i43.tinypic.com/i1yb2e.png

Well, I clicked on "select", I wrote button (like an example), and I could do what you can see, but I can not choose the widgets to add it, I can only add them in the structure.

Do you know what is happening? I do not even know what "select" button is for.

Could this be de problem? When I try to update Eclipse I get:

An error occurred during the org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.engine.phases.CheckTrust phase.
session context was:(profile=SDKProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.engine.phases.CheckTrust, operand=, action=).
Error reading signed content.
The file "C:\eclipses\eclipse35\plugins\com.instantiations.common.core_5.6.0.r35x201004132043.jar" does not exist

How Can I fix it?, I have the files (.jars in plugin folder) but they are different version from what the message says

No. That is a very common Eclipse problem.

Alvarodt wrote:How Can I fix it?

Wait 5 minutes, restart Eclipse and try it again.

I've tried to update it today but I still have the same error message. Could you see the project?

Thank you.

That NoSuchMethodError exception indicates that you have only partially installed the product. Fully install the product and it shoudl be fine.
