Updating to GWT Designer 7.3

Hi all,

When I try to update in Eclipse 3.4, from 7.2 to 7.3, it starts off by identifying some items to update. When I begin the update, it returns this:

Should I uninstall the Designer and reinstall it instead of updating?

That is a common Eclipse Update Manager problem.

Wait 5 minutes, restart Eclipse and try it again.

Thanks, Eric. I've tried many times now, from a couple of different networks and locations, and nothing. If I uninstall and reinstall does it have a better chance of success, or would I hit the same issue?

I don't know. According to our records, we have processed well over a thousand updates over the past couple of days, and I just tried it again myself without a problem.

Maybe there is something wrong with your Update Manager cache (what that might be, I don't know). You could try using the Update Manager to uninstall and then remove the Update Site link entirely. Then re-add the Update Site link and do a full install using the Update Manager. I would also always suggest using the latest build Update Site for the product, if you actually wan to get all of the product updates when they occur.

I tried again and nothing, so uninstalled, removed the site and added the stable site and installed. Worked fine.
