Problems with CentOS 5, 64 bit

Postby rernst » Sun Dec 20, 2009 3:49 pm

As GWT now supports 64 bit I am trying to use the designer under CentOS. The GWT pllugin works fine, hosted mode works fine. However, trying to use GWT Designer (switching to WYISYG mode) gives me:

Code: Select all
No GWT support found for this system

The product can't find support for the OS, OS architecture or windowing system you're using. Please check the prerequisites and if your system matches it, try to reinstall the product.

It is my understanding that my system matches the prerequisites since it runs Galileo and GWT flawlessly - it seems only the Designer may be a bit confused. Is there something you can to help me? Do you need more operating system details?

2.0 and I just glanced over the item headers int the forum and it looks like currently only Windows is supported for 2.0?

Can you verify this for me?

If so I'll move thee current development of to a Win32 platform for the time being and move it back to Linux when the support arrives. I moved ahead to 2.0 because I had a heck of a time getting things working with 64 bit Eclipse and a 32 bit alternative run-time for GWT. Somehow the Designer seemed to hang when switching to WYSIWYG view but I am the first to admit that I did not analyze this to the bitter end.

Anyhow, I think I just answered my own question, if you could just affirm that I would appreciate it.

At the moment, yes. Linux/OSX support is under development now.

Sorry if this is a second post, but...

There is a Windows version of Designer that supports GWT 2.0? Where do I find it?

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4710

The latest build has support for it and appears to work reasonably well.
