What is in your current development list? SmartGWT or GWT 2.0rc ?

Both. GWT 2.0 will take priority once it is released.

We have also encountered some significant performance issues with SmartGWT that we are trying to resolve with the authors.

This seems to me a problem. In professional way, which do you prefer ? gxt ? or gwt-ext ? or smartgwt...

gwt-ext and smartgwt are merged recently...

so competition will be in between with gxt and smartgwt...
I am only involved in grid implementation of both library..

for your opinion which is fast and powerful ?

I don't have a position on that at all. I have not used any of them to build an application.

if you are looking for opinions on this, I would suggest asking in Google's GWT forum.

GWT 2.0 rc2 is now available and I would really like to start using it. Are you planning on releasing a beta/preview version of GWT designer before the final GWT2 is released?

No. As we have seen in the past, targeting one of Google's betas is generally a waste of time and effort. They have always had breaking API changes right up to the final release.

We will release support fro GWT 2.0 after it has been officially released (probably still several week away).

Note that we will initially be supporting the Java API for GUI construction only. We will eventually support the XML-based UIBinder, but that will be several months in the future.
