GXT menus / doc

Postby rernst » Thu Oct 15, 2009 3:40 pm

Thanks for integrating GXT, first of all. Secondly, while I can guess a variety of the widgets I have a hard time figuring out how to set up menu bars, i.e. connect toolbars and menus, via the UI. Can you point me in the direction of some doc or any other pointers to get me started on this? Do I attach the various components through the source? Examining the cursor behavior when adding menus it would appear that the UI is trying to 'add' something (+ icon) but how exactly that is supposed to work is not clear to me.

Thanks in advance,
rernst

Make sure that you are using the latest GWT Designer v7.2 build.

To create a menubar, you drop a GXT MenuBar into the design area. MenuBarItems (e.g., File menu) may be dropped on a MenuBar. Individual MenuItems or (cascade) Menus may be dropped on MenuBarItems. You can also create popup context menus on the window or any widget by dropping a Menu on it.
