Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn't find an answer on the board...
How do you enable a 'design' tab for a given java class? And what are the types of Java classes that this mode can be enabled for?
Here is why I'm asking. If I go through designer menu and add a brand-new 'Composite' , 'Dialog' or 'Popup Panel' then once I double-click on the newly created class I see the 'Source' and the 'Design' bottom tabs and I can switch between the two as usual. I was under the impression that 'Design' mode can only be enabled for the three aforementioned types of Java classes.
Now, my project is configured for gwt-ext and I have a class MyGrid that happens to extend gwt-ext's GridPanel. Anyway, earlier today I was rearranging some my project's files/packages, moving classes, creating new packages etc. Among other things I moved MyGrid from one package to another. All of a sudden I noticed that MyGrid has a 'design' mode!
I tried adding a brand-new class that extends GridPanel and it doesn't have the design mode...
What gives? How can I enable a design mode for a class?
Thanks,
Alex
