Java Import

Postby EGR » Wed Aug 05, 2009 11:31 pm

This is an issue I already sent to the GWT forum but didn't get valuable feedback.

As soon as I want to use a Java class/package above ANY.client I run into trouble. At compile time I can avoid the trouble by an explicit inherit statement in the ANY.gwt.xml. This however doesn't work a run-time. Does anyone have an easy how-to please. I'm facing this problem for several days now and it starts to trouble me...

TIA,

Ekki

What kind of "trouble"?

BTW, general GWT usage questions are best posted to Google's GWT forum.

the packages/classes ontop/outside *.client are not found in the Hosted Mode...

As I said I sent this initially to the GWT Forum...

You should declare your additional folders as "source" ones for GWT client side.
See http://code.google.com/intl/ru/webtoolkit/doc/1.6/DevGuideOrganizingProjects.html#DevGuideModuleXml section "XML Element Reference".
Don't forget to declare also "client", if you add new folders.
