Project Import

Postby EGR » Wed Aug 05, 2009 11:26 pm

Hi,

first of all - this is Ekki - new to Java, JS, O3D, O3DJS, Eclipse, GWT and GWT Designer. Anyway like a lot what I've seen so far and have good progress with initial projects! Next step is to buy GWT Designer licenses.

So here's my question for now: What's the canonical way to import a GWT Designer project? I tried regular Eclipse import - didn't work properly. I tried to create (with GWT D.) an equally-named project and then 'overloaded' the folder contents with my dump. Not cool at all and didn't work too...

Any hints how to to that?

Thx ia,

Ekki

I have always just used the Eclipse Import command.

What do you mean by that didn't work properly?

At the moment, I don't even know what problem you are having.

There were various problems depending on the way I tried to 'import'... Anyway, I used the obivous 'Import' again and had success. Thanks for the response. Thread over. Ekki

Thread re-opened ;-)

Short question: I'm working sequentially on two machines - what is the formally correct way to move my project among them? Delete (old) + Import (new) or - after both machines have been setup properly - overriding on file system level?

I would use Eclipse Import on both machines.
