GWT Designer not working as expected

Postby loachman » Thu May 14, 2009 6:08 pm

I am using the latest version 7.When I create a project it does not create the folders like it used to with 6.x.It creates the war directory with my html in it?
When I try to run the file I get the following error.

The development shell servlet received a request for 'ImageViewer.html' in module 'com.mycompany.project.ImageViewer.gwt.xml'
Resource not found: ImageViewer.html; (could a file be missing from the public path or a <servlet> tag misconfigured in module com.mycompany.project.ImageViewer.gwt.xml ?)

Resource not found: ImageViewer.html; (could a file be missing from the public path or a <servlet> tag misconfigured in module com.mycompany.project.ImageViewer.gwt.xml ?)

This is not how 6.x created the folders however, I am wondering why it does this.I tried with GWT 1.5.2 and 1.5.3

Thanks

The default project structure is different for GWT 1.6 than it is for GWT 1.5 (these are changes imposed by Google, not us).

But I am using gwt 1.5.3 in the project.

Does version 7 not use the same folder structure as did 6? I thought since I was still using 1.5.3 it would create the same project structure as before when using your version 6.x.

I understand it is google who made the changes but when I was using 1.5.3 with version 6.x of your designer a few months back the folder structure was different.

Thanks

Give it another try using the latest GWT Designer 7.0 build.

It will use the older GWT 1.5 project structure if GWT 1.5 is being used.
