GWT-EXT and adding map using GWT designer

Postby natelew » Tue Feb 10, 2009 10:33 am

I just downloaded an evaluation copy of GWT Designer and want to test whether it will do what I need with respect to adding maps to a panel. I saw that Microsoft Map and YahooMap are available in the palette. When I add them to a panel though and select preview nothing happens. I assume there is some code I need to do to allow the map to be loaded. Does anyone have an sample code that I can look at to help with this, so I can determine whether the tool will help me and therefore purchase it.

Can other map engines be added to the palette such as google or others shown here:
http://www.gwt-ext.com/demo-maps/#multipleMaps

Finally when I right click on the palette I see the option to add an entry is this how additional widgets are added? If so how is this achieved?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Nathan

Implementations of these maps require registration code.
See for example http://code.google.com/intl/en/apis/maps/signup.html

I saw somewhere in GWT-Ext docs description how to configure maps, including registration code.
May be in GWT-Ext demos...
