GWT Designer allows you to quickly create the modules, composites, panels, remote services and other elements that comprise Google Web Tookit applications.

I have tried to copy the Showcase samples from gwtext website into Gwt Designer without success. Not one - of the ones I have tried - display correctly in Gwt Designer. Most of them didn't even get parsed.
If I run the application within GwtDesigner in Hosted mode the programs run fine. I copied the samples over the GWText_test project and I am using gwt 1.5rc2
I know that it is stated that Gwt Designer' support for gwtext is incomplete, but I would expect **some** of the "official" gwtext samples to work fine.
In any case, I am trying to use the Showcase samples to jumpstart my efforts. It would be great if you could provide some pointers on how to modify them in order to make them compatible for Designer.
Thanks,
Alberto

None of the GWT-Ext complex panel types are supported yet, so none of those samples will work. That will happen later this year.
If you want to use the GWT-Ext widgets in GWT Designer, start with a empty EntryPoint or Composite class and drop widgets from the GWT-Ext palette.
