hi all,
just quick question:
What is "Enable CSS units convertion" option is settings? I've spotted that in just installed update (4.0.0.20080404904)
Help docs are not updated to show that feature yet (under path: topic=/com.swtdesigner.help/html/gwt/preferences_gwt.html)
regards,
peter

This option enables or disables the size unit conversion from ex. "px" to "in", you can see this ability by right-clicking on the component. To be able to convert between unit we have to calculate the values of conversion, i.e. how much pixels in one inch. This operation rather time-consuming and can cause invalid UI rendering in some cases. By default it enabled for Windows and Mac OS X and disabled for Linux.
Disabling this option allows to speed up the design-time UI rendering of compex forms.

hi Alexander,
aha, I see!
Also that is context-aware feature: it enables specific option only if default widget size is changed and only for given property (e.g. only for height [called vertical]),
thanks for that addition,
regards,
Peter

Yes. It only applies to widgets that have a horizontal or vertical size setting.
