Deployment problem

Postby mupf3l » Tue Mar 04, 2008 2:08 pm

Hi,

I have installed today's release and I am buiding GWT from trunk.

"Deploy Module" is not working. The GWT application is beeing generated in a "std" folder. If I move the files back to the root of the war everything works perfectly.

Any idea if this is a GWT Designer or a GWT 1.5 issue?

Ok, I found the issue.

The default linker now generated the code into a std folder.

So deployment is broken with 1.5.

Yes, it looks that GWT 1.5 has incompatible changes that breaks deployment.

Do you know URL where to download GWT 1.5 builds?

I am building from the trunk, but there is a first alpha version published by the GWT team online:

brgds,

Papick

ps: I prefer building from trunk, works fine.

We are looking at GWT 1.5 M1 now, but won't spend too much time on it until they are closer to release.

Hi,

I can partly understand. I don't expect the 1.5 bells and whistles to be supported. But, the new linker architecture is here to stay (see the wiki document [1]) and it is breaking deployment. So this would be something that one could try to solve right now...

We made a few minor tweaks in the latest build that should help with GWT 1.5 M1 deployment.

GWT Designer will now generate slightly different build scripts for 1.4 and 1.5.
