reverse engineer?

Postby stefoid » Thu Feb 01, 2007 8:17 pm

Hi, I have a GWT project already in eclipse. Is it possible to convert this to a GWT designer project? Or do I have to create a new GWT designer project and add the source 'by hand'.

I briefly tried importing the source using that option from the new GWT project wizard, but I got some error about workspaces or something...

thanks

Right-click on the project and select the Google Web Toolkit > Convert project into GWT project command.

ah, ok, I thought that was just for existing non-GWT projects.

so, having done that, I can access the GWTD design panel for my source code, but it does not show anything except an empty composite widget. My source files generally extend composite, so I was hoping to see the various widgets that make up my existing composites magically appear in the design panel.

Send us a test case (the project) and your complete Eclipse ".log" file.

Hi Eric, does that mean that GWTD should be reverse engineering my existing code?

sorry for the delay, my laptop was at the shop.

No doubt my hacked up code was not what it expects - ill send you a sample so you can review the type of code your product chokes on.
