I can't find anything on the site detailing which JREs are compatible, but I am having problems when I try to open designer on a 5.0 compiled class.
I go down to 1.4 and things come up mostly ok (generics errors under 1.4 cause some problems), but switching back to 5.0 the problem comes back.

I assumed that my system JRE would magically switch when I changed it for Eclipse. I just needed to change my JAVA_HOME directory

Designer will work fine with either JDK 1.4 or 1.5.
