I am having difficulty getting my custom controls to work after both a designer upgrade (to latest) and eclipse upgrade (3.1.1).
In the designer preferences it shows all my custom controls, but I get ClassNotFoundExceptions in the log when I try to open them in designer. Also, when I try to add a custom composite/control to a new composite in designer mode I get the following:
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/ghd/clinical/controls/intellitext/IntelliTextClearButton (Unsupported major.minor version 49.0)
What is the cause of this?

Revelead that this is a JRE issue having to do with loading classes not compiled with the 1.5 JRE
I couldn't find any specifics on whether Designer is good for 1.5 or not.

All of our projects use JRE 1.5. I have cleaned and re-built all of the projects, still get the same error.

Designer will work fine with either JDK 1.4 or 1.5.
