Custom canvas painting: design-time border

It would be nice if Canvas controls could have a design-time border. I have custom controls that have a few canvas inside. When the canvas is not selected, I cannot see it (unless I am missing a preference setting?).

And the reason there is nothing apparent for the canvas is that it is totally painted in my code. So of course, it would be cool if we could flag a method as "defaultPaint" so that Designer invokes it when painting the canvas... :)

The latest v4.0.1 build now includes this for borderless Canvas controls.
