I was able to add a tree view to a composite while using M6 without any problem.
Is this problem reproduceable? Can you send us a test case?

I actually brought the code into eclipse on windows and created the tree there. It worked fine. I then brought it back to linux and all is well. I am sure it has something to do with the linux version and what I had on the screen. I had more then just a composite. If I run into it again I will send you my code in hopes you can reproduce it.
