Scrolling delays

Postby Kelly » Wed Feb 23, 2005 9:07 am

When I drag the scroll bar up or down on a document, every 3 secs or so the screen freezes for about 1 or 2 seconds then the screen unfreezes and jumps to the mouse postion in the scroll bar.

Even when I use the up and down keys the screen freezes but only goes to the next line when the screen comes back.

This is very anoying.

Is this an Eclipse problem or WindowBuilder?

Or is thier some options I can look at to correct this?

Thanks
Kelly

I have never seen that happen, so I don't know.

It would be helpful to know what version of Eclipse and what version of WB you are using.

Also, do any exceptions appear in your Eclipse ".log" file?

What preferences do you have in effect for the WB editor? Are they the defaults or not?

The eclipse version is:
Version: 3.1.0
Build id: I20050219-1500

And WindowBuilder Pro is:
Version: 3.0.1
Build id: 2005.02.21

And XMLBuddy Pro is:
Version: 2.0.23

I believe I am running that default configurations for all of the apps listed above.

No errors in the .log file that would explain the scrolling delays.

Since no one else was having any problems with this issuse I decided to look into the settings on my computer and what programs were being started and placed into the task bar.

I found a program being placed into the taskbar called TheWeatherChannel, this program was installed when I installed Netscape 7.2.

I uninstalled the TheWeatherChannel program and my problem has gone away.

Thank you for you reply.
