Using XWT

Postby guls » Mon Sep 27, 2010 10:37 pm

I am very new to Eclipse. I want to create a new RCP application using a mix of XWT as well as components from Nebula, jFace etc. The approach I want to follow is to create XWT composites for each distinct piece of functionality and integrate them all together.

I have created a MainMenu using an expandbar and wants to create a perspective and add this to it. Since the composite in itself is not a viewpart or xwtviewpart, how do I do that?

Also I have another version of the main menu created using Nebula Shelf component. It is a vieapart. But I am not able to see this view in the perspective palette. How to make it available in the palette?

Is there some documentation that covers such topics?

Thank you.

Only ViewParts may be added to a Perspective in the Perspective editor.

Docs for the Perspective wizard and editor are here.
