Windows Location out of place when using multiple Monitors

Postby jbodapatla » Tue Jul 20, 2004 10:56 am

I recently downloaded and evaluating SWT-Designer. One of
the things it bothers me when I am testing is, new window
opens straddled between two monitors. It also happens
when Default properties dialog opened when new Widget
added to the Palette. BTW, I have two monitors attached to
my PC.

Today I downloaded and tested. It fixed, but I noticed that
in Properties dialog when adding new Control to Palette, the
"Close" button would not respond to Keyboard navigation.
That is, It should get focus when you use Tab to go to that
control and "Enter" button press should close the dialog.

Hmmm. Do you mean he OK and Cancel button on that dialog? I don't see a "Close" button on the Add Custom Control dialog. Both buttons also seem to respond to keyboard focus as far as I can see.

No, It is Properties dialog to enter Name of Control, etc.,
which pops up (you can suppress this using preferences)
after you dragged and dropped from
Control Palette into the design area. This dialog has just "Close" button.

OK. Your original message referrd to "adding new Control to Palette" which sounded like you were talking about adding a custom control to the palette from the Custom Controls preference page. I would not have guessed that you were referring to the optional dialog that pops up when adding a control to the canvas. We'll take a look at that. BTW, if you are in that dialog, Ctrl+C will close it.
