Feature Request ? - GUI Editor Form Layouts in 7.1

Postby SergeMerz » Fri Jul 24, 2009 3:57 am

Hello,
I just wanted to say that whilst 7.1 is obviously better than previous versions, I find using form layout and the 'Set Left/Right Align' button very awkward. I found the old controls (eg. [, ]) and so on much easier to use. Previously form/grid and fill layouts did not get in my way. Any minor quirks could easily be fixed by hand editing the FormData objects. In 7.1 , I am thinking of abandoned using form layouts and use absolute layouts because of this - most of the time controls don't resizing and things get done in a fraction of the time. Can you please take a look at this feature - I know some mention has been made that the old 6.* style was too difficult but I think too much has been taken away from the GUI editor

Regards,

Many enhancements to FormLayout are currently under development (including restored direct access to the FormData).
